Meta, the company that owns the Facebook and Instagram platforms, is testing two new features with extremely important benefits for E-Commerce players:
- In-App Checkout, for dynamic ads running in the newsfeed;
- Advertising promotion feature for shopping posts.
The In-App Checkout feature will enable e-commerce advertisers to close transactions directly in the Facebook platform.
The new feature is currently being tested with a select group of advertisers and is part of the platform’s expanded plans to achieve a complete shopping experience for its more than 2 billion users.
The In-App Checkout feature is already available on Instagram.
Facebook is also testing a new ad format on Instagram, which offers the ability to turn an organic Shopping post into an ad using the Facebook Ads Manager tool, which involves posting an ad, automatically, on two different platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
According to Instagram officials, every month, more than 130 million users click on the tags displayed in shopping posts of accounts operating in the e-commerce sphere.
